May - June Team Information:

Language Arts and Reading:
We will end the year with a study of "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, that will help in their understanding of the Constitution.

Social Studies:
We, the eighth graders of Monroe Middle School, in order to finish Social Studies this year, are finishing our study of the U.S. and Illinois Constitutions. To conclude, we will take the Constitution exam on the 21st of May, 2008.

Science:
We are finishing our Investigations into Botany. We will do a short overview of genetics.

Math:
We are finishing exlporations of quadratic equations in Algebra and are looking at statistical representations of data.

Important Dates:

May 21 - Constitution Test
May 26 - Memorial Day No School
May 30 - 8th grade dinner 6:30pm
June 2 - Awards and Recognition Assembly 1:30-2:30pm @ DuPage County Fairgrounds.
June 3 - Last full day of school for 8th grade students.
