The Mariner Team had a successful and fun-filled Outdoor Education Trip. Thank you to all the wonderful parent chaperones that helped to make this such a terrific field trip. We couldn't have done it without you!
Students were asked to reflect on their experience and to share what they enjoyed as well as what they learned. Here are some of their thoughts.

What we enjoyed:

  • Working in groups to achieve our goals during the Teams Course.
  • My group because we worked very well together.
  • The campfire and the silly songs that we sang.
  • All the activities because they were fun and educational.
  • The climbing wall and the teams course because they were challenging.
  • Being able to try new things
  • Meeting the counselors because they were fun and come from all different places in the world.

What we learned:

  • How to get along with others.
  • It's better to work together than to work alone.
  • I can keep going if I try my hardest and I can do anything that I believe I can do.
  • To set a goal for myself and not care so much what others think.
  • When you work together, you can finish the task faster.
  • Everyone learns at different speeds and you shouldn't rush them.
  • How to communicate better with others. This is important when you work in a group.
  • How to respect people from different countries and appreciate their culture.
  • When you work in a group, you have to be patient, help everyone and be fair.
  • Even though, I might not be the best at something, I should still try it and have fun.
